DC, NoVA Weekend Events: Flavors Of Fall, Art On The Avenue
Weekend highlights around DC and Northern Virginia include haunted attractions opening, Clifton Day and Oktoberfest.

The first weekend of October is a busy one around Northern Virginia and DC. Between fall festivals, Halloween haunts and foodie events, there's plenty to do. If you're off Monday for Columbus Day, there are even more options.
We've rounded up numerous events going on in your communities from Friday, Oct. 5 to Monday, Oct. 8. Some are free. Some have a fee.
