Grill Starts House Fire, Sends Woman to Hospital
Fire occurred on the 7800 block of Ridgecrest Drive
Fairfax County firefighters put out a house fire on the 7800 block of Ridgecrest Drive Friday evening.
The fire and rescue department got the call just after 6 p.m. and were able to put out the fire at about 6:50 p.m., a public spokesperson for the department said.
One woman was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital for fire-related injuries, said an owner of the house who declined to give his name.

The fire was started from a propane grill that spread to the rear of the house.
“As far as I know…she was out making hamburgers on the porch,” said the owner.

The house was up for sale at the time of the fire.
