Beginning Sunday, the basic DASH bus fare will increase 10 cents to $1.60. Monthly DASH passes will jump $5 to $40 starting with the sale of the July pass.
The Alexandria Transit Co. said major cuts to the bus system were avoided by the fare increases as well as “streamlining” service along Eisenhower Avenue, reducing headways on the Saturday AT2 and reducing general operating costs.
