Meet The Chief Event Planned In Mount Vernon District
Police Chief Kevin Davis is participating in forums hosted by Communities of Trust.

MOUNT VERNON, VA — Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis will participate in an upcoming Mount Vernon District forum allowing residents to meet him and ask questions.
Davis was appointed as police chief in April following the February retirement of former Police Chief Ed Roessler Jr. After his appointment by the Board of Supervisors, he faced scrutiny after media reports revealed that he had lost two civil lawsuits early in his career as a member of the Prince Georges County Police Department in Maryland. However, Davis has emphasized a message of policing reform as he assumed the position in Fairfax County.
Communities of Trust, a citizen organization that seeks to build positive relationships between law enforcement and communities, is hosting the "Meet the Chief" forums around Fairfax County. The Mount Vernon District forum will be held Thursday, July 15 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Gum Springs Community Center. Attendees are asked to register in advance. A participation option through Zoom is also available.
