Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival & Sunset Tour Set For May
Get your tickets early for the popular festival. One of the days has already sold out.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—If you're a fan of wine, sunsets and spectacular views, you'll want to mark your calendar for an upcoming weekend at Mount Vernon. The estate will hold its annual Spring Wine Festival and Sunset Tour on May 17-19 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.
The event includes exclusive tours of the mansion and wine cellar and appearances by Martha Washington and other re-enactors. During the tours, visitors will learn about George Washington's ventures in wine and the cellar where he stored his wine.
Visitors can bring their own blankets to set up on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River all while sampling wines from 20 Virginia wineries. Fruit and cheese boxes are available for $29.99 in advance. Other food can be purchased at the event. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.

The event has been popular in the past, and Saturday has already sold out this year. Friday and Sunday tickets are available for $48 and $42, respectively.
