New Year's 2019: Where To Celebrate Around Greater Alexandria

FORT HUNT, VA—Ready or not, 2018 is close to coming to an end. If you're one who likes to ring in the new year with a party, there are plenty of options around Greater Alexandria. And for those who just want a dinner with friends, there are options there as well.

New Year's Eve at Cedar Knoll: Party Hollywood style on New Year's Eve at Cedar Knoll with photo ops, music, dancing, old Hollywood film screenings and more. A three-course pre-fixe dinner (with surprises included) is $75. The party starting at 9:30 p.m. is separate and costs $50. New Year at Alexandria Elks Lodge: Ring in the new year with live music, hors d'oeuvres, a champagne toast and after midnight breakfast. Admission is $25 per person or $45 per couple. Location: 7120 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306

First Night Alexandria: The region's largest family-friendly and alcohol-free New Year's Eve event, has activities starting at 2 p.m. leading up to fireworks at midnight. You'll need a badge to access the First Night Alexandria venues, but watching fireworks in public is free. Location: Around Alexandria

DMV Annual New Year's Eve Gala 2019: EZ Street from 96.3 WHUR will host this New Year's Eve bash featuring six party rooms. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres before, champagne and party favors. Early bird tickets are $75 - $80 until Dec. 26. Location: Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22311

New Year's Eve at Paradiso Italian Restaurant: For the 2nd year in a row, Paradiso will host New Year's Eve with music across the decades and a special menu. A three-course meal with a drink and champagne toast is $40. Call to reserve your space. Location: 6124 Franconia Rd, Alexandria, Virginia 92111

New Year's Eve Party at Captain Gregory's: Come out for a special food and cocktail menu at the third annual New Year's Eve Party. The $85 ticket includes food, two cocktails and a glass of champagne for toasting, as well as tax and gratuity. Space is limited to 34 guests. Location: 804 N Henry St, Alexandria, VA 22314

Vola's New Year's Eve ICE Party: Ring in the new year on the waterfront patio. From 9 p.m.-1 a.m., enjoy an open bar, oyster raw bar and appetizers, dessert bites, a champagne toast at midnight, and fireworks over the waterfront. Tickets are $75-$90. Location: 101 North Union Street Alexandria, VA 22314

Chart House New Year's Eve: Ring in 2019 with Chart House. The event features a four-course signature menu, raffles, swag bag, live entertainment beginning at 8:30 p.m. and the fireworks show at midnight. Champagne toast is included in second and third seatings. Location: 1 Cameron St, Alexandria, VA 22314

New Year at Fiona's Irish Pub: The pub will celebrate with music by Fat Chance, party favors, dancing and a champagne toast. There is no cover charge. Reservations are optional. Location: 5810 Kingstowne Center, Alexandria, Virginia 22315

Broken Ground NYE at The Light Horse: Ring in 2019 with Broken Ground at The Light Horse. They'll have multiple food stations, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Location: 715 King St, Alexandria, Virginia 22314
