Police: 22-Year Old Woman Robbed in Mount Vernon

Also: a wedding ring was stolen from a residence in Fort Hunt

The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon Police District station between May 5th and May 11th.

Police charged a 15-year-old boy after he robbed a 17-year-old boy of his cell phone just after noon on Wednesday, May 11th.     Police say the incident occurred in the area of Canterbury Lane and Ross Street. The suspect was transported to the juvenile detention center. Police say the victim was not injured.

Police say a man robbed a 22-year-old woman of her cell phone at around Fifer Drive and Huntington Avenue.  The incident occurred on Sunday May 8th at around 6:32 p.m. The suspect was described as black, about 17-years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds, with brown, shoulder-length hair. Police say the victim was not injured.

Police say two teenaged boys robbed a 16-year-old boy on Tuesday, May 10th at around 4:45 p.m. The suspects were described as black and between 14 and 16 years old. Police say one suspect was about 5 feet and 6 inches tall and the other was about 6 feet tall. Police say the victim declined medical attention.

Police say a wedding ring was stolen from a residence on the 2500 block of Parkers Lane.
