Police have charged a Woodbridge man after he reportedly forced his way into a Mount Vernon home and assaulted a 38-year-old woman inside. Police were called to the home in the 8500 block of Carlos Court at around 1:05 a.m. on Friday, June 3 for a domestic incident. Police say warrants were obtained for burglary with the intent to assault, abduction, assault and battery and interfering with a communication device to prevent the summoning of police. He was arrested by Prince William County Police before being turned over to Fairfax County Police.

Police say two 12-packs of beer were stolen from a business on the 7900 block of Fort Hunt road.
