Police Close Part Of Fordson Road To Respond To Domestic Disturbance
Man taken into custody after he barricaded himself in home off Fordson Road
Police blocked off Fordson Road from Richmond Highway to Sherwood Hall Lane Friday afternoon after a domestic disturbance caused a man to barricade himself inside his home.
The roadway was closed for about an hour beginning at 3:40 p.m. as police entered home off of Fordson Road.
County police became worried about the suspect's mental stability after they received phone calls from family members, according to FCPD spokesperson Bud Walker.

Police also had reason to believe the man had weapons in the house.
The county SWAT team moved in and took the man into custody.
