Police: Man Fires Gun Outside Izalco Bar

The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon Police District station between August 31st and September 7th.

Fort Hunt Crime

Police say a scooter was stolen from the 3100 block of Douglas Street.

Police say a 1999 Honda Civic was stolen from the 8400 block of Doyle Drive.

Mount Vernon Area Crime

Police say someone fired at least one shot from a gun outside of Izalco Bar on Saturday, September 3^rd at around 2 a.m.  Two men, 22 and 28, who were nearby the bar, located at 8403 Richmond Highway, were not harmed. Police say the suspect was described as a white male, in his late 30s. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 165 pounds and has a bald head.  Police say he was seen leaving in a teal, late 90s model two-door Honda Civic, with dark tinted windows and “five star” rims.
