Police: Mount Vernon 7- Eleven Robbed

Also: a purse was stolen in Fort Hunt

The following incidents were reported by the Mount Vernon District Station between the May 18th and May 25th.

Police say a man robbed a 46-year-old employee of a Mount Vernon 7-Eleven store on Friday, May 20th at round 1:15 a.m. The man allegedly walked into the store on the 3100 block of Lockheed Boulevard, wielded a gun and demanded cigarettes and cash. Police say the employee complied and the suspect fled with the items. Police say the victim did not require medical treatment.  The suspect was described as a black heavy-set male, around 5 feet and 8 inches tall. He was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt with horizontal black stripes, a black stocking cap and dark colored pants.

Police say a man robbed a 57-year-old man outside of his home on the 6300 block of Chimney Wood Court at around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20. The suspect was described as black, about 20 years old and 6 feet tall. Police say the victim did not require medical attention.

Police say two men robbed an 18-year-old man on Friday, May 20 on the 3800 block of Maury Place at around 4:35 p.m. The suspects were described as black.  Police say one was describes as 6 feet 2 inches tall, with an average build and curly afro puff hair; he wore a baseball cap. The second suspect was describes as 5 feet 7 inches tall, with an average build. Both suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing. Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police say a wallet was stolen from the 8600 block Richmond Highway.

Police say a purse was stolen from the 2500 block of Parkers Lane.
