Police: Three Women in Mount Vernon Robbed
Also: Police arrested a man for burglarizing a gas station.

The following incidents have been reported by the Mount Vernon Police district station between April 14th and April 20th.

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 1900 block of Glen Drive at around 9:40 p.m. on Friday. April 15. The suspect stole two guns.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man for burglarizing the Citgo gas station at 8158 Mount Vernon Highway. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 16 at around 11:11 p.m. Michael S. Cummings, of Alexandria, was charged with burglary, destruction of property and drunk in public.
Police say two men robbed three women as they entered a building on the 8400 block of Graves Street. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 17th just after 2 a.m. One suspected displayed a knife and the other a gun, before they stole property from the victims and fled. One of the victims chased after one of the suspects and held him until police arrived. None of the victims, ages 29, 34, and 37, were not injured. Police have not pressed charges at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Police say an officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after someone threw a beer bottle at police car he was driving. The incident occurred in the area of Old Mill Road and Pole road on Monday,18 at around 11 p.m. Police searched the area for suspects but did not locate any.
Police say a teenaged boy robbed a 17-year-old boy on Wednesday, April 20. The incident occurred inside a Walmart located at 7910 Richmond Highway at around 5:38 p.m. Police say the suspects forcefully stole cash from the victim’s pocket. He was described as black, about 16 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 155 pounds.

Police say lug nuts were stolen from a vehicle on the 2500 block of Parkers Lane.
