Save the Date: Mount Vernon Unitarian Church Green Fair
Goats, baby chicks, gardening, and green products will be featured at the Spring Green Fair.

Mount Vernon Unitarian Church will host its annual Green Fair on April 28.
Sponsored by the church's Green Sanctuary Task Force, the event will feature representatives from the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture, baby goats from Frog Pond Early Learning Center, baby chicks from Moose Manor Farms of Pomfret, Md., and garden planting demonstrations for kids by Earth Champs.
Food tastings will feature healthy recipes, and a lunch of spring salads and treats will be prepared by the church's Ethical Eating Group. Environmentally friendly household products will be available for purchase and an “Eco-Nice” table will distribute information on free environmentally safe disposal methods for household items like paint, batteries, and on upcoming large-scale shredding programs.
