'Serial Shoplifter' Arrested After Incident Wednesday at Beacon Center: Police
Fairfax County Police say that Baltimore man was stopped in traffic and charged with shoplifting at a Richmond Highway store.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Detectives with Fairfax County Police were tipped off Wednesday afternoon about a "serial shoplifter" as he left a store at Beacon Center, Fairfax County Police said Thursday.
Police say the man, a Baltimore resident, was spotted by a loss prevention officer at Marshall's at around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect was accompanied by two other men and the loss prevention officer recognized all of them as serial shoplifters, he told detectives.
A lookout of the suspect car was provided to local officers and a traffic stop was made after the three left the shopping center at 6700 Richmond Highway (see map below). The driver, Keith Laboard, 49, of Baltimore, was arrested, taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with petit larceny. The other two suspects were released, police said.
