Update: Dozens Without Power; Thunderstorms Could Impact Commute
National Weather Service issues flash flood warning

Update 4:12 p.m.: About 57 people in the Fort Hunt area are without power, according to an interactive Dominion Virginia Power Map.
Dominion has not yet reported an estimation of when the power will be restored to the affected areas in Fort Hunt.

The services says between a quarter and a half of an inch could fall this afternoon with higher amounts possible if thunderstorms continue this evening.

Expect northwest winds around 9 mph with gusts as high as 24 mph. High temperatures are expected to be around 94 degrees with lows around 67 degrees.
The service warns drivers not to travel into areas where the water covers the roadway because it may be too deep for cars to cross safely.
