West Potomac Theatre partners with Broadway Cares

"RENT: High School Edition" Opens June 7th

We are so grateful to have the opportunity to share with you Rent: High School Edition. And we are beyond thrilled to be partnering with Broadway Cares.

On your way out from the show, we’re hoping we can all share just a little
more together. You’ll see cast members and volunteers with fabulous red buckets
for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This year, Broadway Cares awarded $13.7 million to The Actors Fund and more than 450 social service agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. You’ll be providing lifesaving medication, healthy meals and emergency financial assistance for those living with HIV/AIDS, women dealing with breast and ovarian cancer, and more of our friends and neighbors struggling with illness and personal crises.

We will accept cash, jewelry, children, spouses. No donation is too small … or too big. Anything you can give is appreciated as it will all go to help those who’ve been marginalized and had their voices silenced.

RENT: High School Edition is set in New York City's gritty East Village, and this revolutionary rock musical is an imaginative retelling of the classic Puccini opera, La Boheme. This unforgettable and timeless story of a group of starving artists, who, despite poverty and illness, learn to fall in love and find their voices, brings a universal message of hope for everyone.
Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize, RENT with Book, Music and Lyrics by the late Jonathan Larson, has made a lasting mark on Broadway with songs that rock and a story that really resonates. It has become a pop cultural phenomenon.
