What's Open, Closed For Easter 2021 In Mount Vernon Area

MOUNT VERNON, VA — Easter 2021 marks our second amid the coronavirus pandemic, which means many people in the Mount Vernon area and throughout our state will once again opt to forgo the traditional Easter celebrations for smaller, more socially distanced festivities.

Here's a look at what's open and closed in the Mount Vernon area this Easter:

• George Washington's Mount Vernon: Open.
• Huntley Meadows Nature Center: Open noon to 5 p.m.
• Metrorail and Metrobus: Open. Check www.wmata.com/service/status for service updates.
• RECenters: Open noon to 6 p.m. (George Washington RECenter is closed)
• Fairfax County Libraries: Closed.
• I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex: Closed.

• Home Depot: Open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
