What's Open on Labor Day?

Not sure what’s open or closed on Labor Day?  Patch has you covered.

• Trash and recycling will be collected normally.
• County government offices are closed
• Courts are closed.
• Public schools and school offices are closed.
• Libraries are closed Sunday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 5.
• Fairfax Connector is operating on a Sunday schedule.
• Fastran will not be in service.
• Park Authority RECenters open to 6 p.m., except George Washington RECenter, which is closed. Historic are sites open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Nature centers are open from noon to 5 p.m. Frying Pan Farm Park is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but visitor center is closed. Green Spring Garden is open from noon to 4:30 p.m., but the historic house is closed.
• Teen and senior centers are closed.
• Community centers are closed.
• Recycling and Disposal Facilities at I-66 Transfer Station and I-95 Landfill Complex are open.
