• Music Department's ‘KPop Demon Hunters' parody video blows up (emu.edu) — A Harrisonburg-based EMU grad teamed up with the university’s Music Department to create a locally produced parody video of a hit song from Netflix’s “KPop Demon Hunters.” Filmed largely in and around campus in a single afternoon, the video showcases EMU students, faculty, and even a professor’s family as it aims to connect with younger viewers online.

• Big first quarter, strong defense propel Maury to three-peat (wtkr.com) — A packed Bridgeforth Stadium in Harrisonburg watched Maury High dominate Highland Springs 25-7 to secure a third straight Class 5 state football championship. A 74-yard opening kickoff return sparked a 19-point first quarter, and Maury’s defense controlled the game the rest of the way as the Commodores cemented their status as a modern Virginia powerhouse.
