• Hudson, Beverly Wolfe (nrvnews.com) — Pulaski friends and neighbors are mourning Beverly Ann Wolfe Hudson, a former Pulaski resident who helped run a local auto business for more than three decades. A graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski on Tuesday, Dec. 16, followed by a memorial service in McCoy, with the family requesting memorial donations instead of flowers. 
• N.C. man arrested after falsely reporting hostage during Pulaski shoplifting investigation (wset.com) — Pulaski police arrested a North Carolina man after a shoplifting investigation spiraled into a bogus hostage report that sent officers racing to multiple local businesses. The suspect was later found walking back to his car, jailed without bond, and officers seized a vehicle packed with merchandise; Pulaski businesses with similar recent thefts are urged to contact police.
