• Springfield Teen Arrested After Overnight Get-Together Ends In Bloody Stabbing, Police Say (dailyvoice.com) — A 17-year-old from Springfield has been arrested after police say a late-night gathering at a Woodbridge apartment ended with a 16-year-old stabbed multiple times and another teen slightly injured. Both victims survived with non-life-threatening wounds, and the Springfield juvenile now faces two malicious wounding charges while being held in custody pending a court date.

• Fairfax County solidifies new rules for electrical substations as energy demand grows (ffxnow.com) — Fairfax County has approved new rules requiring future electrical substations to sit at least 100 feet from residential property lines, with higher walls, landscaping, and noise studies. Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity backed the shorter setback, arguing it’s needed to upgrade existing substations as energy demand and data center growth strain the grid across the county.
