Apply Now For $1,000 Education Scholarship
All civically engaged students in BL who are expected to graduate this spring are eligible for the Center for Quality Communities​ award.

BONNEY LAKE, WA - Do you know a civically engaged high school student graduating in Bonney Lake this spring? If so, the city is now accepting applications for nominees to receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Center for Quality Communities.
The AWC's Center for Quality Communities Scholarship program is meant to assist graduating seniors who plan to continue their education after high school. Nominees are expected to be students who actively participate in their local government and volunteer around their community.
Since 2011, the Center for Quality Communities has awarded scholarships to students around the state who best show a sincere civic commitment to their respective communities.

To be considered for the scholarship, the nominee "must be eligible to graduate from high school in 2019, complete home school, or receive a GED in spring or summer of 2019; reside inside Bonney Lake city limits; plan to continue their education in the 2019-2020 academic year at an accredited college, community college, or trade school on a half-time or more basis; and have current or past involvement with city government or with a community/school leadership activity," according to the city.
The application/nomination deadline is Feb. 22.
