Bonney Lake Police Participate In Law Enforcement Blood Drive

The police department is hoping the public will join them for a blood drive at Columbia Bank this Friday.

BONNEY LAKE, WA — The Bonney Lake Police Department is one of several local law enforcement agencies hosting a blood drive this week in commemoration of Law Enforcement Memorial Week.

BLPD's drive will be this Friday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Columbia Bank at 19925 WA-410 E.

If you're interested in giving blood, you can learn more about the event or register to take one of those slots by visiting their event page.

The need for blood is especially bad right now. Late last month, Bloodworks Northwest announced a "Code Red" blood shortage, with less than a 24-hour supply on hand at any given time.
If you want giving but can't make Bonney Lake PD's event, Cascade Regional Blood Services is taking donations at all of their locations this week. There are also several upcoming Red Cross blood drives in Pierce County.
