Bonney Lake Reopens Allan Yorke Park Boat Launch
Monday the city reopened the Allan Yorke Park Boat Launch, just one of the latest recreational spaces to reopen as the pandemic wanes.
BONNEY LAKE, WA — The Allan Yorke Park Boat Launch has been reopened to boaters in Bonney Lake. The city reopened the boat launch on Monday, May 11, two days after opening the surrounding beach.
The launch is the latest of several parks and facilities across the city and state that have reopened as part of Gov. Inslee's Safe Start program to reopen Washington as the coronavirus pandemic starts to wind down. Phase 1 of the program started on May 5, and allowed city and state leaders to reopen parks, trails and golf courses. Certain jobs like dog walkers, car wash operators and landscapers have also been allowed to return to work.
Even though parks and beaches like Allen Yorke have been reopened, Bonney Lake is reminding everyone to continue practicing safe social distancing while out and enjoying nature.
