Bonney Lake Senior Center Seeks Fan Donations
If you have an extra cooling fan on hand, the center would love to help get it to a local senior in need.
BONNEY LAKE, WA — The incoming heat wave will be dangerous for everyone, but the elderly are at much higher risk.
In an effort to keep local seniors safe during the summer heat, the Bonney Lake Senior Center is accepting donations of cooling fans. If you've got a fan you can part with, they can be left at the center's campus at 19304 Bonney Lake Blvd E any time between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Senior Center will then distribute donated fans to seniors in need throughout the community.

Another way neighbors can help is by checking on their elderly friends and relatives during this heat wave. Temperatures are expected to push past 100 Saturday and Sunday, and the elderly or those who are sensitive to high heat may need a little neighborly support.
