Buckley Police: Multiple DUI Arrests, Three Dogs Impounded and Teens Steal Candy Bars

The following information from June 5 to June 11 was provided by the Buckley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 5, 2013

Marijuana Possession: A 20-year-old Enumclaw man was stopped on the 200 block of West Mason Avenue at 4:28 p.m. for speeding and found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested, cited and released.

DUI: Police arrested a woman for DUI following a traffic stop on State Route 165 at State Route 162 at 11:39 p.m. because the vehicle tags looked suspicious.

June 7, 2013

Nuisance Dog: A dog was impounded on the 300 block of S. River Avenue after police received a complaint about it at Elk Ridge school. No license was found on the dog.

June 8, 2013

DUI: A woman was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on State Route 410 at Lower Cemetery Road at 1:33 a.m.

June 10, 2013

DUI: An off-duty Enumclaw police officer initiated a traffic stop on State Route 410 at Mundy Loss Road at 12:23 a.m. due to a reckless driver. The driver was later arrested for DUI and cited for DUI and following too closely.

Shoplifting: A man was cited for third-degree theft from a business on the 29300 block of State Route 410 at 5:30 p.m. He was seen concealing two automotive-related items in his pocket and didn't pay for them at checkout. 

June 11, 2013

Nuisance Dogs: Police impounded two dogs on the 500 block of Mt. View because they were reportedly jumping on the kids at the bus stop. No tags were found on either dog.

Shoplifting by Minors: A 12 year-old boy and 16 year-old boy were detained at a business on the 29300 block of State Route 410 at 5:45 p.m. and admitted to stealing candy bars and an energy drink. They were arrested for third-degree theft and later released to parents, pending charges at Pierce County Juvenile Prosecutor's office.
