Flames Destroyed A Spanaway Food Bank: Here's How You Can Help
Spanaway Food Bank has pledged to rebuild, but they're going to need a little community support.

SPANAWAY, WA — The Spanaway Food Bank is closed indefinitely after flames tore through their facility Friday morning. The News Tribune reports the food bank distributes more than 15,000 pounds of food to 1,100 people a month, but most of their stockpile was destroyed in the blaze. According to KOMO News, the food bank's all-volunteer staff has served the community for decades, and typically the holiday months ahead are their busiest of the year.
Other organizations in the area are stepping in to fill the gap and spearheading an effort to help Spanaway Food Bank rebuild.
