BONNEY LAKE-SUMNER, WA - From Pierce County Library: Scare up some friends and visit one of the many Halloween events at Pierce County Library System locations. Decorate pumpkins, try Horrorgami or listen to spooky stories around a campfire. All events are guaranteed to provide a frightfully good time.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

Halloween Pumpkin Decorating, University Place Pierce County Library, 2-5 p.m. Decorate a pumpkin to take home. Small pumpkin and decorations provided. All ages. Registration required at www.piercecountylibrary.org/calendar.

Horrorgami, Buckley Pierce County Library, 4:30 p.m. Learn how to make monsters and other scary origami creations. All ages.

Halloween Origami, Bonney Lake Pierce County Library, 2 p.m. Learn how to fold monsters and bats for Halloween decorations. Ages 7 and up.

Creepy, Crawly Halloween Event: Live Owl, Parkland/Spanaway Pierce County Library, 2 p.m. Join For Heaven’s Sake Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation as they introduce different species of live owls from the Northwest. Learn facts about the owls and view them up close! All ages.

Spooky Stories around the Campfire, Tillicum Pierce County Library, 2 p.m. Hear scary stories at this spooky story time along with a pretend fire. Bring pillows and blankets to sit around the fire. All ages.

Halloween Story Time and Costume Party, Sumner Pierce County Library, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Read stories, play games, do a craft and show off costumes. Ages 6 and under.

Trick or Treat at the Library, Eatonville Pierce County Library, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Stop by the library and pick up your candy treat. Costumes encouraged. All ages.

Downtown DuPont Trick or Treating, DuPont Pierce County Library, 3:30-5 p.m. Stop by the library during the City of DuPont’s Downtown Trick or Treat event for treats and giveaways. All ages.
