League to Discuss Big Donors' Influence in Politics at May Unit Meetings
Can ordinary voters counterbalance the influence large corporations have in politics?

At the May Unit meetings of League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County, members will present and discuss the LWVWA Citizens United Toolkit. This toolkit is designed to help League members understand the Supreme Court’s “Citizens United” decision and its effects. “Citizens United” refers to the 2010 decision which treats corporations as ‘persons’ and has resulted in corporate money gaining more influence in politics.
The public is invited to join the conversation.
