National Night Out 2019: Find Events Near Bonney Lake, Sumner
136 cities in Washington are holding National Night Out events on Aug. 6. Find one happening in your city.
BONNEY LAKE, WA — Aug. 6 is the National Night Out across the U.S., and there are over 100 cities in Washington holding one or more events.
The night offers a chance to meet with police and prevent crime. But Night Out is also a chance to get to know your neighbors, share food, have fun, and even enjoy live music. Here are some events happening near you sponsored by cities and neighborhood groups.
Puyallup, Pioneer Park, 6 p.m.

From the event page: Join us for the 36th annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 6th from 6 to 8 PM at Pioneer Park. This will be a fun night for the whole family. There will be music, bounce houses and other activities. Food will be available for purchase at the event or you can bring your own. Come and meet your Puyallup Police Department staff and learn what you can do to help prevent crime in our community.
University Place, Market Square, 4 p.m.

From the event page: Come to our first annual the National Night Out pre-event kick-off on Tuesday, August 6 from 4–6 p.m. in Market Square. Mingle with U.P.’s finest before they embark on the citywide caravan featuring appearances from the Undersheriff, SWAT team, the Traffic Unit, the Warrant Division and West Pierce Fire & Rescue Fire Engine.
Bonney Lake, Allen Yorke Park, 6:30 p.m.
From the event page: Members of the Bonney Lake Police Department and East Pierce Fire and Rescue will arrive by caravan to Allan Yorke Park to kick off the festivities. The Bonney Lake Police will be conducting a bicycle rodeo so kids young and old bring your bikes and helmets for a safety check and take a spin on our course! Airlift Northwest helicopter will be touching down and stopping by for a visit. Super Jump will be here with a bounce house, Home Depot will be providing kid craft projects. Walmart has donated hot dogs and will be on hand with activities for kids as well as various local vendors. Come out and take the opportunity to speak one on one with your police chief and officers, council members and various City leaders and workers. Round out your visit with McGruff the Crime Dog. Bring a chair or blanket and settle in for Lego 2 the movie to be shown at dusk (weather permitting).
Lakewood
There are about 40 National Night Out parties planned across Lakewood. Here are event pages for a few of them:
Gig Harbor, Harborview Drive downtown/Skansie Brothers Park, 5 p.m.
From the event page: The community of Gig Harbor is invited to come together, along Harborview Drive in downtown Gig Harbor, and join thousands of communities gathering nationwide for National Night Out. This fun, free, community-wide event from 5 pm to 8 pm will include free food, military and law enforcement displays, a Home Depot Root Beer Garden and many other fun activities for the whole family.

Enumclaw, multiple locations
Neighborhood National Night Out block parties are being held across Enumclaw. And Enumclaw police are taking requests for officers to stop by. Call (360) 825-3505 to set up a visit.
