New Development Coming To Sumner; Construction To Begin Soon
Bridge Development Partners, LLC will soon begin construction on a new 64,000-square-foot building off SR-167 in Sumner.

SUMNER, WA — A Seattle-based developer will break ground on a new building in the industrial area off State Route 167 sometime within the next 30 days. The new building will reportedly become home to a variety of smaller companies once construction is complete in early 2020.
Bridge Development Partners, LLC announced the groundbreaking and construction in a statement released this week, identifying the new property as the future home of Bridge Point Sumner 60.
The new development is the second property closed by Bridge in the past eight months, officials said.

"The Seattle industrial market remains among the country’s most dynamic, as a surging economy and strong population growth is creating continuous demand from users," said Justin Carlucci, Bridge partner for the Northwest region. "However, much of the new product being delivered is designed specifically for larger tenants. By creating a state-of-the-art development like Bridge Point Sumner 60, we are perfectly positioned to cater to smaller companies, who make up a broad share of the tenant base in this area."
The new building will measure in at just over 64,570 square feet and is expected to include 30-foot clear ceiling heights, an ESFR fire sprinkler system, three grade-level doors, and 10 dock-high doors. Additionally, the property will include a 120-foot truck court and more than 50 employee and visitor parking stalls.

Formerly an open lot near the intersection of Nyberg Road Southwest and 136th Avenue East, the 2.9-acre Bridge Point Sumner 60 development will add to the general growth seen in the area over the past few years.
The industrial area itself is considered prime real estate due to its close relative proximity to the Highway 167 interchange in Sumner, Highway 18, Interstate-5, and the Port of Tacoma. Bridge reportedly paid about $2 million for the land.
It's unclear what companies, if any, are being courted for future tenancy at this time. Calls to the city of Sumner were not immediately returned.
