Additionally, daytime temperatures are expected to steadily decrease into the upper 40s throughout the week, with overnight lows in the 30s.

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — While tidal overflows and possibly some flooding are expected in the northern Puget Sound, the National Weather Service appears to expect only wind and rain across Pierce County. Weather forecasts for this week show high wind speeds and considerable rainfall through Friday.

Daytime highs will steadily decrease each day, forecasts show, with temperatures dropping from the mid 50s Monday to the low 50s and upper 40s Tuesday and Wednesday, then into the mid-to-low 40s to finish the week.

Overnight lows this week are not expected to drop into freezing territory, but forecasters appear to expect a dip into the mid-to-upper 30s every night.

Precipitation may ease up by the weekend, according to current forecasts, though temperatures will likely continue to drop.

Additionally, forecasters advise residents to prepare for power outages in the event wind speeds increase and cause damage to power lines across the county. With windy conditions in mind, forecasters also suggest drivers travel with extra caution and to watch for blowing debris.
