Sumner-Bonney Lake Schools Offer Free Summer Meal Program

Free breakfast and lunch will be offered at two schools in Bonney Lake and Sumner throughout the summer, beginning July 1.

SUMNER, WA — Beginning July 1, the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District Child Nutrition department will offer at two schools free breakfast and lunch for area youth 18 and younger. The meals will be served Monday through Friday at designated times.

Liberty Ridge Elementary will serve a free lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at 12202 209th Ave. Ct. E. in Bonney Lake from July 1 through Aug. 2.

Daffodil Valley Elementary will serve breakfast from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. and lunch from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 1509 Valley Ave. in Sumner from July 1 through Aug. 23.

Meals will not be served at either location July 4 or 5.

Menu items for breakfast will include pancakes, French toast, and waffles, while lunch offerings will include pizza, sandwiches, ravioli, and chicken nuggets.

A calendar showing each daily menu is available online at the Healthy-e-Living website at myschoolmenus.com. Just type in your school and which mealtime you're looking for.

No application or registration is required to participate in the summer meal program.
