Fructose Spill In Sumner Causes Sticky Mess
A truck hauling a shipping container full of liquid fructose lost its load Wednesday morning north of downtown.

SUMNER, WA - A truck hauling a shipping container lost its entire load Wednesday morning, creating a traffic mess north of the downtown area with a spill of liquid fructose. According to city officials, the truck dropped the entire shipping container when it accelerated.
The incident snarled traffic near the intersection of Puyallup Street and Tacoma Avenue. Just after 10:30 a.m., the city had to close Puyallup between Tacoma and Williams avenues for the (sticky) cleanup.
The wheels literally came off. Pictures of current morning mess in #Sumner at Tacoma Ave & Puyallup St. Secure your load!! This appeared to not be secured at all and just slid off at acceleration. pic.twitter.com/biWgbSi76I
