Two Day Road Closure Of Williams Ave Begins Thursday
Sumner is advising residents to use alternate routes through the area, as the road will be closed for most of the workday.
SUMNER, WA — The City of Sumner is warning commuters of an upcoming closure that may impact their route to work.
Starting Thursday, at 7 a.m. Williams Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Puyallup Street and Hubbard Street— almost the whole length of the street.
That's not a huge closure, but as you can see in the map above, it is surrounded by a number of local businesses, so it could cause some confusion. The city is warning drivers who regularly use a road to plan ahead and have a detour in place.

The road will remain closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Thursday and Friday.
