3 Arrested After Series Of Break-Ins, Arsons In Sammamish
Investigators said three young people were linked to a spree of vandalism and arsons in late September.
SAMMAMISH, WA — A spree of break-ins and arsons in the Sammamish area has come to an end, resulting in the arrest of three young suspects, according to police.
Detectives with the Sammamish Police Department and the King County Sheriff's Fire Investigation Unit began a probe after the first incident on Sept. 21, when Eastlake High School's baseball clubhouse was broken into and vandalized.
Four days later, authorities said, a fire was set at the Trader Joe's, which damaged the front of the store. On Sept. 27, the suspects broke into the clubhouse a second time and set a fire. Two days later, the suspects broke in a third time and set another fire. Ultimately, police said, thousands of dollars in damage resulted from the four incidents.

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify three juvenile suspects, who were all arrested. Each faces multiple charges of burglary, arson and malicious mischief. Investigators said they also recovered some stolen property.
