65 Days Of Roadwork Coming To SR 18 In Hobart Area

The work begins Monday along the overpass across Issaquah-Hobart Road, according to WSDOT.

ISSAQUAH, WA — Get ready for more than two months of construction along SR 18 in the Hobart area that will almost definitely cause delays. But at the end, the ride across the Issaquah-Hobart overpass will be much smoother.

Beginning Monday at 5 a.m., the westbound lane heading west from Tiger Mountain will continue as one lane for an extra half-mile across the Issaquah-Hobart overpass. The road will remain in that configuration for an estimated 65 days.

During that time, crews will repair and repave the overpass, working on one late at a time. The work will begin in the far right lane, according to WSDOT. The bridge hasn't been repaved since 1996.

There will also be eight full overnight closures of the westbound lanes. During the closures, traffic will exit at Issaquah-Hobart Road and reenter SR 18 by crossing the road.
