A Question for all: You Know You're From Sammamish When...

Venice Buhain, editor of Bellevue Patch, recently posted a question on her news and information website,  about that Eastside city.

It is: "You know you're from (insert city's name here) when..." As she noted, similar questions about various cities are making the rounds on Facebook.

We at Sammamish Patch thought it was a terrific way to ask Sammamish residents for ideas on what defines the city - in terms of place, memories, landmarks, business, history and people. As we know, all places are different, even though they can be similar.

So, we thought we'd open it up here, too, on Sammamish Patch. Please help finish this sentence: "You know you're from Sammamish when..."

Feel free to add your comments below. We, at Sammamish Patch, can think of a few answers - say when your childhood memories include on a hot summer day.

But, we need your help to really fill out the answers. This exercise, we think, is a fun one to do on a beautiful summer day. Back in December, after Sammamish Patch launched, Kathleen Miller, a Sammamish resident and freelance writer, looked at a similar question:
