Family and friends will gather at in Sammamish on Dec. 29 to say their farewells and remember the life of Brian LeRoy Grutzius. The memorial starts at 11 am.
The Hammond, Indiana native passed away on Dec. 13 after a courageous fight against cancer, his family said in a notice posted online at Flintofts Funeral Home & Crematory.
Grutzius, an Issaquah resident, was 42. His family said he loved his work as a software engineer at The Walt Disney Company.

The former Eagle Scout loved spending time with his family, as well as bicycling, hiking, baking and visiting relatives in Chicago and India.
The family has set up The Anjali and Sonia Grutzius Benefit Trust to help his daughters. People can donate at any Bank of America branch.
