Traffic Alert: Crews to Work on Two City Roads Starting Monday

Motorists can expect grinding and paving work beginning Monday along Southeast 24th Street and Southeast 8th Street, the city of Sammamish reported on its website.

The work will last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and only one lane will be open during these hours. Crews will help direct traffic and the city encourages motorists to take alternate routes, as long delays are possible.

On Southeast 24th Street, the work will be done between 228th Avenue Southeast and 236th Avenue Southeast. On Southeast 8th Street, crews will be grinding and paving between 228th Avenue Southeast and Windsor Boulevard.

The city needs to do this maintain and preserve the road. The grinding work is expected to last two days. Paving will take place after that.

The city asks motorists to drive carefully because workers will be on the roads.
