Ellen Patricia Murphy Bero (1918-2011): Beaver Lake Resident and Great Great Grandmother
Ellen Patricia Murphy Bero was born in Seattle in 1918, the same year that World War I ended. She went to nursing school.
By the 1960s, she and her family called the Beaver Lake area home, back when it was part of Issaquah. Bero, who spent her later years in life in Arizona, passed away on April 10, according to an online obituary released by Flintofts Funeral Home & Crematory and Legacy.com.
Her family and friends held her service at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church on April 14. In the Beaver Lake community, she was an active member of St. Joseph Church, where her family said, she was a religious education teacher.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1918. On Feb. 22, 1941, she married Kenneth Bero and they settled in Seattle to raise a family. She was a mother, grandmother, great greatgrandmother and great great grandmother.
"We remember her as a giving person, who loved and trusted in God. She taught us when we’re in need to pray 'Come Holy Spirit,'" her family wrote in her online obituary.

Her final resting place is Upper Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah.
