Boys & Girls Clubs Seeks Donations to Raise $3 Million for Teen Center in Sammamish

The Boys & Girls Clubs of King County Redmond/Sammamish is trying to raise $3 million for a new teen center in Sammamish - and the group needs your help.

The goal is to renovate the old Sammamish Library site at 825 228th Ave. NE.

The youth center, which is being called the Sammamish EX3 Teen & Recreation Center, will have 10,000 square feet of renovated space, the group has said. That space will include a lounge, technology lab, game rooms, teaching kitchen and performance stage.

The organization reports that the Sammamish area has more than 6,000 teenage residents. The Boys & Girls Clubs hopes to open the teen center in August or September.
