Issaquah School District Drivers Compete, Place in Bus "Roadeo"

Issaquah School District Transportation had eightbus drivers who competed in the Annual Puget Sound Regional Bus "Roadeo" Competition Saturday, May 14, at Clover Park High School. We are delighted to report our Team Issaquah was OUTSTANDING. There were 46 contestants in the competition.
 
First Place: Kelly Rupp (new sub bus driver)
Second Place: Joe Lee 
Fourth Place: Lynn McArthur (new bus driver)
Eighth Place: Debbie Randall (She has been a previous Regional winner, and state competitor.)
Tenth Place: Bruce Barnhill (new sub bus driver)
Fifteenth: Violeta Martinez
Twenty-First Place: Debbie Davis
Twenty-Eighth: Michelle Ewert
 
Issaquah Took First Place Team Championship
 
Rookie Category: Issaquah took First, Second and Third.
 
1st:Kelly Rupp
2nd: Lynn McArthur
3rd: Bruce Barnhill
 
Kelly Rupp and Joe Lee will be representing Issaquah School District at the Washington Association Pupil Transportation State Roadeo on June 26, at Yakima.
 
This is the very first year Issaquah School District has had so many winners. Kathy Garrison and Becky Flaherty have been coaching and practicing many hours with the drivers in preparation for the competition. Scooter Patterson also assisted.
