The current school year will end on June 22, the Lake Washington School District announced Wednesday after rescheduling its calendar due to the 3.5 days students missed this winter because of snow.
The last day of school had been set for June, 16. Now, there will be full school days on Thursday, June 16, Friday, June 17 and Monday, June 20. Because one of the days missed was a half-day and the last day of school is a half-day, there will be two half-days to end the school year – Tuesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 22.
School was not held on the two days before Thanksgiving, which included one full day (Nov. 23) and one half-day (Nov. 24). In addition, there was no school on two days in February.
