Loved Ones to Pay Respect Friday to Susan Eileen Condon-Zuehlsdorff, a Sammamish Resident (1953 to 2011)

Loved ones and friends will gather Friday, April 29 at 3 p.m. at in Sammamish to remember the life of Susan Eileen Condon-Zuehlsdorff.

The Sammamish resident died Sunday at her house after battling cancer, according to an online notice posted by Flintofts Funeral Home & Crematory. She was 57.

She led an active life, helping Boy Scout Troop 571, Cub Scout Pack 641, meeting with friends and even earning her license to fly small planes.

She was born on July 27, 1953 in Florida. After growing up in Ohio and Virginia and graduating from Eastern Michigan University, she moved West.

She worked in computer sales in San Francisco and Seattle. After that, she entered the catering business. In August 1995, she married Bruce Allen Zuehlsdorff at a ceremony in Kirkland.

In addition to helping others, she enjoyed the outdoors. She participated in backpacking, river rafting, running, gardening and biking.

"She was an accomplished, creative and imaginative person; the perfect hostess. Her warm, caring personality earned countless friends," her family and friends wrote in their remembrance of her.

"She will be remembered for her love of God, family and friends."

She was an active member of Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

At the time of her death, her family and Sue Richards, a family friend and care giver, were by her side. She will be buried in Argyle, Wis.
