City residents will pitch in on Saturday to help clean up - and volunteers are needed in the effort.
This is an annual clean up effort to prepare for visitors who will use the popular park in the summer. The city encourages families, groups and students to show up, pick up and leave the park cleaner than before.
The clean up will start at 9 a.m. and end at noon. An adult needs to accompany volunteers who are under the age of 14, the city said.

Sturdy shoes, boots, work gloves and weather-appropriate clothing are suggested. The city will have some tools. But volunteers are encouraged to bring their own shovels or weeding tools.
A volunteer agreement can be found online.
