City Of Issaquah Rezones School District Properties
The Issaquah City Council has approved changes to the land-use designation and zoning of the Providence Heights property.

During its Jan. 21 meeting, the Issaquah City Council approved, with a 5-2 vote, changes to the land-use designation and zoning of three parcels – commonly called the Providence Heights property – that the Issaquah School District recently acquired.

The approved new zoning would enable the construction of a high school.
There are still many steps required before the district’s proposed high school and elementary school could be built – many of which include engagement with the community:

- District submitting a pre-application and application for a Master Site Plan
- Community conference (informal public meeting hosted by the Development Commission)
- Staff review/report
- Development Commission hearing
- City Council decision
