1 Dead After Van Slams Into Dump Trucks On Interstate 90
All lanes have reopened after a fatal crash involving a van and two dump trucks on Interstate 90 near Lake Sammamish.

SAMMAMISH, WA — A driver is dead after a crash involving a van and two dump trucks in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90, near West Lake Sammamish. Firefighters, medics, and troopers were called to the crash around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Washington State Patrol said a van traveling at high speeds hit the back of a dump truck, then spun and hit a second dump truck. The driver of the van was pronounced dead after medics attempted CPR at the scene.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said the HOV lane remained open, but all other eastbound lanes were closed in the area of the crash while the investigation continued. Eastbound backups extended 2.5 miles by 1 p.m. Troopers reopened all eastbound lanes shortly before 2:15 p.m.
