Opportunity to Adopt Cats and Dogs on Sunday

Sammamish-area residents will have the opportunity on Sunday to adopt cats and dogs at an event sponsored by North Bend-based Pawsitive Alliance.

The event, which will be held at the Issaquah PetSmart, consists of two parts but held during the same hours. The first part is "Patriotic Pups" and will feature more than 100 dogs and puppies that can be adopted. These animals are from 10 animal rescue groups.

Adopting a dog or puppy will cost between $150 to $250. There will be trainers and specialists available to ask questions.

The second part is "Patriotic Purrs" - and will feature more than 30 cats that need permanent, loving homes. Adopting a cat will cost between $75 and $100.

As with the dog adpotion portion of the event, there will be specialists available to answer questions.
