Father, Son Rescued After Snoqualmie River Accident

A father and son were rescued Monday night after they became stranded in the Snoqualmie River.

CARNATION, WA - Rescue crews saved a father and son from the Snoqualmie River Monday night after their boat got stuck.

The rescue occrred around 6:30 p.m. Monday. The father and son were stuck in a stretch of river off of Carnation Farms Road known for having rocky shallow areas.

The father and son had their cell phones and were able to call for help. Crews from the King County Sheriff's Marine Unit and Eastside Firefighters assisted in finding the stranded boaters. The pair were wearing life jackets, and were able to start a fire to stay warm while they waited for rescue crews.
